Hummm, that would make a great candle design. Nature sure does have a way with color and shape ;-)
okay,,, here's a one to put it more into scale.

They are Aspidistra blooms. Cool huh? They aren't at all noticable until the plant is dug up or cleaned up around the roots in spring.
