January 2001 Bottle Tree

Maggies Garden Forum: Come Stroll Articles: January 2001 Bottle Tree

My newspaper articles will be published on the Come Stroll pages, rather than in the newspaper's online edition, so as to retain copyright. Also, the site strollies will be the original versions, without Star Tellie's editing and will include more pics.
This one tells the REAL truth of my family's attitude to towards my gardening pursuits. ;-)

Any excuse to drink more wine is OK in my book. I would build one in my garden, but I don't have the "bottle". Sorry folks but what do you expect from me in sun starved January. J

I appreciate your word-play Terry, but its one for the Anglo-Ameri dictionary.
Allow me ...
"bottle" = gumption, courage, nerve,,,
yes?

Yes Maggie, more courage than gumption. The more we converse the more discrepencies in our "common" language crop up and I love it.

Maggie!!! That thing where the posts don't show as going is happening again. For those who haven't experienced it before, if you post and it appears not to be going click on last day and you will probably find it has posted.

I'm sure glad you guys cleared that up. I had no idea what Terry was talking about. I thought maybe he'd been "hitting the bottle."

I hadn't noticed any difference ;-)

Ahem! just a thought, Maggie, if you had put them on a Callistemon, it would have been a self cleaning display. J

Good one! And if I made one with only blue bottles on it, I would wish to grow nothing but Gentiana andrewsii all around it.
