Healing Properties of the Rose

Maggies Garden Forum: Give & Take: Healing Properties of the Rose

Hi Everyone!

For the past several years I have been enjoying the healing properties of roses and have discovered that a quality rosewater is an enjoyable, uplifting and healing experience. It is good for the hair and skin, but it also relieves itching and I have seen it give some women great relief from the itching of yeast infections and candida. Two women I know took rose internally and no longer have the symptoms of candida. When I am tired and need a refreshing lift, I spritz a little rosewater on my face and breathe it in (I've been using Home Health Rosewater) and amazingly feel better.

One must be careful when taking essential oils internally and be sure of the quality. I have used Young Living Rose with great success. It is expensive, but worth it and it lasts a long time.

The following website gives information on how the rose has been used medicinally for thousands of years in the middle east and is still used today.

Just thought you might find this information interesting.
