You know, in Texas, we grow some really hot peppers. One of my earliest memories is eating at a Mexican restaurant with my family, with the adults at one table and me and my cousins at another. We were daring each other to eat the hot sauce, and then when we all tried it, we had to keep eating it. You couldn't be the first one to quit, you know. Anyway, this is all just background information for the picture.
I know what you mean Carolyn...True hot sauce is a blessing and a curse...It is so hot, you have to eat Ice Cream....You know what they say"If it burns your lips going in it will burn you going out". So hurry up ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!
Since I didn’t grow up on hot pepper baby food (;-) I never understood why anyone would eat something that hurt! When I did acquire some tolerance for the milder stuff, I learned that if you can take the burn, there is actually some flavor there too. But for those like me,,, when your tongue gets burned, a lick of salt or sugar will douse it.
