Hibiscus syriacus is more commonly known here as `Rose of Sharon´ or althea. This standard is the `Lady Stanley´ cultivar that replaced the two little rose standards. Her pale-pink double blooms are centered with flecks of blackish-burgundy, reminding me of a favorite ice cream flavor, `Black Forrest Cherry´.
