June is considered very early-summer here, where a few self-sown larkspur still struggle in the shade. The floating white is the wild yarrow that I use for early imitation-ferns because our native wood fern is comparatively slow to emerge. As the bed receives only morning sun, the yarrow gradually dwindles here, rather than spread too rampant. Near the fence, a wild garlic mimics the more colorful hybrid alliums who refuse to grow in this climate.
